| The curvaceous, double fronted Bé-zier Apartments by architects TP Bennett are probably the only flats to be accused of ‘being shaped like a bum’ – the reason given for their nomination for the 2010 Carbuncle Cup, the annual award that highlights unattractive new buildings. Situated on Old Street’s ‘Silicon Roundabout’, so named because of all the web-based industries there, the imposing presence of the two buildings could just as easily be likened to a giant pair of breasts and nicknamed the ‘Silicon Implants’. |
